Client:
A Connecticut based global manufacturer of specialty chemicals, additives, polymers and processing equipment with annual sales in excess of $3 billion.

Position:
Responsible for the design, implementation, administration, monitoring, controlling, and compliance of all welfare and qualified plans covering domestic employees. Following two significant acquisitions, current emphasis is on plan consolidation, solving record keeping anomalies and implementation of a new IT system. Practices of disparate businesses need to be aligned. Responsibilities also include due diligence performance in regard to potential acquisitions, benefits treatment of divested employees, labor negotiation support, and executive benefit planning and administration. The incumbent interfaces with outside consultants and actuaries.

Requirements:
The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of all aspects of employee benefit design and administration as well as all legal requirements and industry trends. Prior experience supporting labor negotiations is very important. This is an action oriented, high energy job which requires someone who is highly organized and who prioritizes and delegates effectively. The individual must thrive in a bottom line focused company in which personal accountability for results and continuous improvement are hallmarks of corporate culture.

Compensation:
This position carries a highly competitive six figure base salary plus an annual bonus and stock options. Relocation assistance will be provided.
